The Hubert Humphrey Fellowships Program caters to seasoned professionals seeking to enhance their leadership acumen through a reciprocal exchange of knowledge and insights on shared concerns between the United States and fellows’ home countries.
Host Institution(s):
Fellows are assigned to one of the esteemed participating universities across the United States. The selection of the specific university is not within the fellows’ prerogative. Instead, they are grouped into diverse clusters of 7 to 15 individuals and placed at the most appropriate host institution, considering their area of interest and professional field.

Being a non-degree program, the Fellowship presents valuable prospects for professional growth using selected university courses, conference attendance, networking opportunities, and practical work experiences. The eligible fields of study are as follows:

Approximately 200 fellowships are granted on an annual basis.

Target Group:
This opportunity is open to citizens of eligible countries in the following regions: Sub-Saharan and North Africa, Europe and Eurasia, South and Central Asia, Middle East, East Asia and Pacific, and Western Hemisphere.
Scholarship Value/Inclusions:
The Fellowship covers the following expenses:
- Tuition fees at the assigned host university
- Pre-academic English language training, if necessary
- Living allowance, including a one-time settling-in allowance
- Coverage of any accident and sickness
- book allowance
- A one-time computer subsidy
- International air travel to and from the U.S. for the program, as well as domestic travel for required program events
- A professional development allowance for activities such as field trips, professional visits, and conferences
